Velvet Rainbows

picture a world where the words are perfect
and the arms unfold;
find yourself awash in color;
and dancing in bourbon skies.

shadows that disappear off the walls;
close your eyes and float in the clouds
if only i could show you this.

show me a world
that you hide to none but yourself;
mountains of paper
and rainbows in disguise...

to to wash away the rain
seems a bit of a lie;
but at least i'll try..

and in smiles there's sunshine lost;
only to return and make the flowers grow
from shadows past...


life grows from you and inside of you
hope will wash away
the pale clouds that plague you...


the world is yours for the taking.
